This privacy policy (hereinafter "Privacy Policy") deals with the protection of your privacy while you use our application: "Tax App Australia" & “Tax App”, website: www.taxapp.com.au and/or our accounting firm’s services which is hereinafter referred to as "the Product" and is available at: Google Play Store & Apple App Store, on the internet, through other online and offline channels and our office locations.

What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?

This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including interviews (online & offline), ATO, ASIC, correspondence, by telephone, by email, by Facebook, by Whatsapp, by Instagram, by online conference calls, by other similar providers, by our Apps (Google Play Store & Apple App Store) and websites www.taxapp.com.au & www.taxapp.au, from your website, from other publicly available sources, from cookies, and from third parties. We don’t guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties.


We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to our clients and marketing. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.


When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

In the course of representing your interests, certain third parties, such as auditors, maintain their own privacy policies. As intermediaries between you and these parties, we assume no responsibility for their privacy protocols. For your assurance, you may request access to their respective privacy policy documents.

Transfer of personal information

We use several cloud-based software who may have servers outside Australia. Our understanding is that these software providers may store your data in servers located in United States and/or European Union. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that data security and appropriate privacy practices are maintained.

How your information is stored

Please note that no systems involving the transmission of information via the internet, or the electronic storage of data, are completely secure. However, we take the protection and storage of Your Personal Information very seriously. We take all reasonable steps to protect Your Personal Information.



We use appropriate physical, digital, managerial and security systems to store Your Personal Information and to protect it against unauthorised access, destruction or disclosure.

Access to your Personal Information

You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing.



Tax App Pty Ltd will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information.


In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

Maintaining the Quality of your Personal Information

It is an important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.
